My Cute Bento Box

bento box

I have just re-discovered my very cute bento box (bento = “Japanese word for a meal served in a box”) I bought from Japan (or was it China?) a year ago or so. My bento box is a two tier box. It has one movable divider in the biggest tier (awesome!), chopsticks in the top layer and one lunch box belt.

I’m yet again going to cut down on what I eat to loose more weight and this little box is just the right thing for it. I can fit everything I need in to that box and it won’t be too much for me to eat. Besides, since it is so cute, I like to cook my own food (instead of fast food) to put in it, it’s healthier for sure! But I don’t make any art bento, takes too much time ;).

I have the coolest lunch box at work!

I’ve been super busy this weekend, party, walk in the woods, etc. It was a while since I was so busy on a weekend but it feels great. Takes my mind of everything else.
I’m soon to be done with the second part of the 25 facts series ;). In the mean while, take a look at this cute picture. LOLZ!

25 Facts – Pt. 1

Thursday, March 19th, 2009

I got tagged (I begged for it!) by Katy from Twentyfourcarat to do this blog version of 25 facts about yourself meme that’s popular on Facebook. As the copycat I am, I will follow Katy’s example and split the list in 5 parts. Beware of sensitive facts!

  1. One part of me want’s to be in the center of things at all times. I want to be admired, liked and looked up to by everyone around me. I want to be the best on whatever I’m doing at the moment. The other part is shy and feels fine by just sitting in a corner. Oh the struggle!
  2. I couldn’t swim properly until I was 24 years old.
  3. I have a small hearing impairment on both ears. I have hearing devices but I rarely use them cause they are exhausting to use – all that extra noise you get from them makes my head explode. It’s rare that anybody notice it though.
  4. At the age of 12 I almost joined a gymnastics group (you know gymnastics as seen in the Olympics), but when I realized that the three girls I hated the most joined as well, I started crying and ran out of there. I regret that today, I had so much potential!
  5. I hate coffee. I’ve even forced myself to like it when I was younger, but I guess that had the opposite effect.

Baby Face and Skin Drink

lush

Last week I went with Maia to the nearest mall to do some shopping. Among the things I bought I got these from Lush (fresh handmade cosmetics – all natural ingredients), and I just have to review them:

- Baby Face: Natural butter bar for conveniently effective cleansing.
- Skin Drink: Rich moisturizer to refresh and rehydrate dry, parched skin.

I was amazed by the Baby Face cleanser (it melts when it comes in contact with your skin)! This is the first cleanser I have tried that doesn’t leave my face like a super dry tense desert. I use it everyday as a make-up remover. The smell is quite nice as well, fresh and clean.
Points: 5/5

I was a bit skeptic when I tried the Skin Drink moisturizer for the first time. I didn’t really like the smell of it, it doesn’t smell really bad but not good either. It takes a while for it to sink in since it is very rich and thick, but my face really needs it so I mainly use it as a night cream. But it does the job really well! It leaves soft and smooth skin. The only thing that bothers me is the smell, but you learn to live with it. You have to think about that it is all natural!
Points: 4/5

It was my first time trying out products from Lush but I got a really good impact so I’m definetly going to try out some of their other products in the future.

As you can see, I’ve changed the theme again to a more brighter and stylish look. But I’m not so sure if I should keep the excerpts on the front page or if I should go back to showing full posts right away.

What do you think?
Do you think it is annoying that you have to click on each post to read them, or do you think the site looks less cluttered with the excerpts? Let me know what you think!

The image in this post is something I made for the design course I’m in. Only the lady is borrowed!

Edit: Full posts it is!

Everyday Minerals – again

Everyday Minerals Brushes EyeshadowsI know I’ve talked about makeup a bit too much lately, I’m not going to turn this in to a beauty blog. But these are all the news I have to tell! I’m working and working so I don’t really have much time for anything else.

Last week I received two brushes and two eye shadows from EverydayMinerals. One foundation brush and one eye shadow brush. The eye shadows are Floating Feathers and Pressed Olive.

Once again I have to give EM the highest score. I’ve never experienced so soft brushes! I’ve already tossed away my cheap H&M brushes! It’s a huge difference!

And, Floating Feathers is my newest favorite among my eye shadows! Not that I have many. I’ve got these two, a two colored one from Isadora, a couple from H&M and a small palette from Viva La Diva. And I also only buy samples when it comes to mineral products since they last very long for me (it’s cheaper too!).

Gucci RTW Fall 2009

I just saw the images from Gucci’s latest collection on a fashion blog and went “wow!”. I just love the style! It’s black and rock! Check out the images from Gucci RTW Fall 2009 at WWD.com and tell me what you think!

Enough about that. I should get down to the basement to see if there’s anyone in the wash house, if there’s not I might just slip in and wash some clothes. I don’t think you are allowed to wash after 8 in the evening but I really have to!
