Animal Cruelty - Skinned Alive
RSS readers: Visit the post damnit!
I’m writing this post to spread more information about the cruelty that is done to animals, maybe you have already seen the terror, but let’s help each other to spread the message about it to the rest of the world!
Perhaps you can’t afford to donate money, but you can still help out a lot just by informing people! Do the animals a favor and share this post with the people around you. It doesn’t take much time or effort to do this! If you don’t (or if you buy fur), you are one of the bad guys!
They are skinned alive
This isn’t anything new in the animal cruelty world, but it doesn’t matter, it is still happening. Undercover investigators from Swiss Animal Protection/EAST International, took their camera with them to Chinese fur farms and discovered that many animals are still alive when the workers hang them up by their legs or tails to take their skin off. Visitors are banned to see the slaughter and there are no regulations governing fur farms in China, which means that they can do whatever they want with the animals.
The shocking truth
The following video is more scary than all horror movies I’ve seen together. If you don’t feel anything after seeing this video, you have a heart of stone. A little warning though, if you are sensitive, you should skip seeing it and just pass it on to others.
Trent Reznor - China Dog and Cat Fur Farm Investigation
Not only does he do great music and goes against the music industry, he also stands up for a good cause. This video isn’t as scary as the one above. Listen to what he has to say:
Help out!
Would you still want to wear fur? I hope not. Don’t wear fur, leather or feathers. Choose faux and pleather instead! I would really appreciate if you passed this along to everyone you know. Stumble, Propeller, Sk-rt, Mixx and the rest!
Like I said, it doesn’t take much time or effort from your side!
If you want to do more you can visit furisdead.com to get more information. This is the second post in my animal cruelty series, you can also read: Why you shouldn’t get some types of dogs and cats.

I’m so… shocked, horrified… dismayed at the level of cruelty I’ve just seen… that I don’t know what else to say. It’s… oh God, nightmarish. O_O
I weep.
People should boycott the China Summer Olympics… but I don’t know if that will make any real difference.

I think I screamed when I saw the first video a few months ago. It’s really horrible >.<
I just hate it when people do this. If an animal has died of natural causes, then it won’t be that bad, but this is too much.

OMG! They actually do that?! It’s horrible!!

The other problem with alternatives to pleather is that it’s an artifical plastic and hence isn’t biodegradable like how leather is.
I didn’t watch the video but I can imagine it would be pretty horrible. Good thing I don’t like fur or leather; I like my materials to be more wovenish, like with wool or cotton.

I hate animal cruelty with a passion! It really upsets me, so I didn’t watch the video.

People who wear the skins of other living creatures deserve to be spat on…
We are not cavemen anymore, we do not need to kill for ‘warmth’ these days.
Such people make me want to spew!

I jumped out of my chair after the first second of this video when the animal gets hit the first time. I instantaniously started balling my eyes out and I had to turn my head and fumble to shut off my speakers. Then, with the volume off I would periodically look at the video. I couldn’t stop crying and my stomach just turned. I’ve got a realy dilemma that I am grappling with and I really need some advice. I have always been against fur because of how the animals suffer, but I never thought the same of leather. I just never made the connection that it’s the same thing and the animals suffer just the same. My problem is this, I just recently got 2 leather coats because I had no light coats for the spring and fall. I am going to go buy pleather coats now, but WHAT DO I DO WITH THE LEATHER COATS? Do I burn them, throw them away, donate them? WHAT SHOULD I DO?? It just seems like such a waste to just toss them out because then it just feels like the animals who suffered and died for my coats did so in vain. For nothing. No purpose. I was thinking of donating them to the salvation army? What do you guys think? I would just feel like such a hypocrite if I kept wearing them because I am totally against fur and there really is no difference, in terms of the suffering and dying of animals, between the 2 right? HELP! I don’t know what to do. I feel so horrible now. HELP!

Ann: If you are sure it is real leather and want to get rid of them you can always donate to homeless people (sounds weird to give away expensive coats, I know) since they have a real excuse to wear it. You can also look at http://www.furisdead.com/donate.asp to get some advice.

makes you wish you could do the same to those people and give them a taste of their own medicine. Sad and sick.
