As we speak, many of these bears have been in their cages for up to 30 years, unable to move, encased in a metal jacket with prongs, to stop them moving their necks. Catheters are inserted into their gall bladder, to create an open wound, through which the bile can be drawn daily, without anaesthetic. The fear, terror and pain of these bears is unimaginable, especially as it lasts so long. Bear fur farms has to be the worst animal cruelty abuse in human history. Skinning racoon dogs, dogs, cats and foxes for their furs whilst alive is also unspeakablly awful. My father's response was 'I have never liked the Chinese,' they are so incredibly cruel to each other and to their animals. However, the wonderful Animals Asia is introducing the concept of animal welfare to the chinese. Don't forget the chinese have been under lock and key by the communists. They have not been allowed access to the rest of the world. Even google is restricted. free press is restricted. All we can do is trade with the chinese, and visit the country as tourists, and spread the word that animal cruelty is completely unacceptable. What really got to me was after the raccoon(?) was thrown on the ground it showed a closeup of its eyes and it looked so scared I just wanted to reach out through the screen to it. After watching that video I am ashamed to call myself a human being. I usually don't wish the worst upon people, but I wish the worst upon the people that are doing this.
