A movie that made me smile

By Malin, June 29, 2009 23:25

happy go luckyI didn’t quite get what the movie, Happy-Go-Lucky, was about, it’s lacking a real plot, but it made me smile. You should see it! I think we all have something to learn from Poppy!

Poppy (Sally Hawkins) is an irrepressibly cheerful primary school teacher who won’t let anyone or anything get her down. Even when her bicycle, which she so happily rides through the busy streets of London is stolen, her first thought is only: “I didn’t even get a chance to say goodbye.”

Living with her flatmate Zoe (Alexis Zegerman), Poppy has a gift for making the most of life. Determined to learn to drive, she finds herself matched with Scott (Eddie Marsan), an uptight driving instructor who is everything she is not.

From Director Mike Leigh (Vera Drake) HAPPY-GO-LUCKY is a laugh-out-loud comedy about having fun, looking for love and getting on with life.

The most annyoing video

By Malin, May 8, 2009 00:40

In an online class I’m having, they showed this video to explain the CSS Box Model Concept to the newbies (I’m only taking the course so it will look good on paper later!).
Look at this video okay? I bet you can’t watch the whole thing, okay? Okay. See it! I couldn’t stop laughing in the beginning and after a while I got a bad headache :P.

All Neil Gaiman fans will see this one I guess. Unfortunately it won’t come out in the theaters here in Sweden until May 15th (!) according to IMDB. But it has started airing over the world already!

Have you/will you see it?

Kitty Litter Facial Mask

By Malin, January 16, 2009 23:33

On YouTube, I am a subscriber to Michelle Phan’s (aka RiceBunny) video channel. And today she put up her newest video tutorial; Kitty Litter Facial Mask. Yup that’s right, kitty litter. It’s not used though! But you have to admire her imagination and creativity!

Why not take some of your cat’s litter clay and improve your beauty? If you don’t have a cat, ask a friend if you can borrow some (Can I have some kitty litter please?). Buying a whole bag in a store might be a bit much, unless you are doing a full body mask that is!

Take a look at the video tutorial on how to make a face mask with kitty litter below!
