Drugs make me happy

Well not illegal drugs. I had to go to the psych ward (emergency room) two days ago since my ordinary doctor couldn’t prescribe a higher dose of my medication. I was there for 4 and half hours total, when you are not feeling well it’s a living hell to wait that long. After the first hour with the doctor I got Oxazepam from a nurse. I really got that mental hospital on movie feeling from that. To sum it all up I got Oxazepam and a higher dose of Paxil.

Yesterday when I was supposed to take my meds in the morning, I took too much. Got a bit scared there. But nothing really happened. I have pills in two dosages 20mg and 10mg and it is quite hard to keep track on them since they look the same. Better dosage form development would be nice.

I have to say that today I feel a lot better, nothing heavy in my head. The worst thing is that I’m really tired in my head but my body is hyperactive. It made it really hard to fall asleep yesterday and I had to go up in the middle of the night to do something, so I cleaned the bathroom, ha! I feel better anyway, no severe anxiety, so I hope it will keep on getting better, so I can get back to my normal life as soon as possible.

Hi Sweetie, sorry to hear you’ve been feeling down lately. I had a look and found a forum which you might like to have a look at. I don’t know where you live but if it’s an online thing you are after this one might be okay for you. It’s based in Australia, called DepNet, and there are very strict guidelines for users (no pics of self-harming allowed here).

Hope you find it a support. Kisses and Hugs.

I’m so sorry to hear you are having an episode. I know what it’s like to see no point in getting out of bed each day.

Have you tried doing a search for the medication you are taking? A lot of times if you find a message board or forum related to the medication, you’ll find people who are supportive of what you are going through. Just try a search like with the name of your medication + message board, or name of medication + forum.

Good luck, and hang in there!!!!

I’m sorry you had to go to the hospital to get meds, but at least you weren’t there long. If you need anyone to talk to about it, I’m a good listener.

Hi, Malin! I hope you feel much better soon!

Thank you for the comment about ReviewMe. I haven’t seen the $5 opps yet, but the FAQs said that reviews started at $20. Thanks for correcting that info for me! Btw, I’ve written two reviews recently for ReviewMe, but I haven’t been paid yet. Are you paid the amount that shows on the opportunity, or half of that? I couldn’t tell if that amount already had the 50% taken out.

    Thanks, and Happy Easter!

Tish: To answer your question: You are paid the amount that shows on the opportunity, so the 50% has already been taken out. And thank goodness for that, it would be very confusing otherwise :) I earned $75.00 during February but about a week ago, for some reason my ranking all of a sudden jumped down :/ So no big cash there anymore I guess…

I don’t know if you have a drivers license, but take care when you’re taking meds with bensodiazepin-derivates in them…

A friend of mine is now charged w/ driving under the influence of drugs (narkotikapåverkad), and still he has a prescription - and he hadn’t even taken the benso-med in a week, trace amount was enough.

Thanks everyone for your kind words! <3

gunnar: Oh yes, the Sobril medication is not to play with, can’t drive with them. I’m even cautious when I make changes to my regular meds even if you are allowed to drive with them, if I feel weird, I don’t get in the car.
