Expectations

DSC01199sThere are tons of new movies came/coming out this fall/winter, I can’t wait to see them all. One of them is Inland Empire by David Lynch and another one is Stardust from Neil Gaiman’s book. I’m curious how they turned out!

I’m soon ready for another 4 books battle, I’ve read one self-help book, one Stephanie Plum book, one depressive high school novel and the one I’m on now is Complete Stories and Poems by Edgar Allan Poe (vol 1), I actually borrowed it at the library (which has, again, become my second home).

Isn’t it impossible not to like Edgar Allan Poe? His dark mystery stories and poems goes well with the dark and spooky side of myself. It’s nice to lie in a warm bed with my puppy beside me when the rain is pouring down outside! It’s nice, really nice. I even bring it on the bus on the way to work!

As I often say, there is nothing better to get lost in a good book!

I just found your blog accidentally and this is fantastic! Keep up the good work.

I am a Poe fanatic and I completely agree. The deepest, most morbid and saddest mind of 19th century. Equally good at love poetry, comic stories, detective fiction, early sci-fi, etc., influencing anyone who’s written a single word since 1849. Just wait till January 2009 for the Poe bicentennial.

See on yon drear and rigid bier
    there lies thy love Lenore…

I love Poe. My husband bought me a book (it’s huge) with all his works in it.

I can’t wait to watch Ratatouille! I have been waiting for that movie to show up in our theater for what feels like years.

I have actually never read anything by Edgar Allan Poe :(

This is neither morbid nor provoking. Beautiful - yes. Poe can be very stimulating. Happy reading.

In elementary school we had to do book reports. I did the Black Cat by Poe. Really freaked out my classmates. XD
