It seems like The Pirate Bay is competing with Wordpress.com and Blogger.com by launching their own blogging service called Baywords, running on WordPress.

The service is intended to be a safe place for bloggers who want to be able to write whatever they want without getting their account suspended.

Brokep, one of the co-founders of the site, told TorrentFreak that the idea to start a blogging service came up when the weblog of one of his friends was taken down from Wordpress recently, for linking to copyrighted material.

“Many blogs are being shut down for uncomfortable thoughts and ideas. We will not do that. Our goal is to protect freedom of speech and your thoughts. As long as you don’t break any Swedish laws in your blog, we will defend it” - Brokep says.

Matt Mullenweg from WordPress responded that he supports Pirate Bay’s Baywords, but he assured us that Wordpress.com would never take down a blog for posting deviating thoughts or ideas.

“WordPress.com supports free speech and doesn’t shut people down for “uncomfortable thoughts and ideas”, in fact we’re blocked in several countries because of that. However as a US-based companies we must comply with US laws, which means if the primary purpose of a blog is distributing illegal material it’s not a good fit for WordPress.com” Matt said.

Since the geek I am, I just had to sign up. Not sure what I would use if for though, just to see how they develop it I guess.

For several years I have been planning to leave the church since I don’t believe in any religion, I’m not taking part of their activities and I never go to the church. However if you are a member of the church in this country, you have to pay ~$450 (that is like half my monthly rent) each year in taxes to them (if you have an income). Imagine how much cash that will be after 60 years. Even if you pay that much money, you still have to pay your own funeral (yes, when you are dead) which is really expensive.

To me, this is way too much. It would be another thing if I went to church and participated in their activities. Then I understand that this type of community can’t survive without money. But this is not the case for me. To me this church believes in a book filled with fiction. No offense, I truly respect everyone no matter what they believe, and I expect the same in return. But I don’t believe a damn word in that book.

So I sent in the paper on Monday last week and got the confirmation letter on Friday that I’ve seceded the Swedish Church.

This was apart of my 101 things in 1001 days list and it feels good that I’ve finally have done it. 100 things to go!

I have been watching this video where 6 girls (all around 16 years old) beats up another girl, a classmate, just because they claim she was posting nasty messages about them on MySpace. She was beaten up under 30 minutes and got her head slammed into a wall several times.
They videotaped the assault and added the video on YouTube. There were also two boys acting as lookouts outside the house while the action happened inside.

From what I’ve seen on the video I don’t understand why she doesn’t try to defend herself with the same way she was being attacked. If I were in her situation I would have done that. But then again I don’t know what happened before the 3 minute clip from the original 30 minutes video. It says that she was knocked unconscious so perhaps that’s why she doesn’t even try in those minutes we are able to watch it.

But come on. You don’t beat up someone for something that has been done over the internet. Err well, especially not a classmate (:P). The girls and the boys names are all over the internet, wouldn’t be nice in the future for them…

Just when I was feeling good from the medication I got the flu. I’m coughing and sweating like crazy. I always seem to have this amazing good luck right?

In other news, the puppy got a new toy (the quality on the thing was really bad, the pink color in the middle is almost gone already) and he decided to play in the bathroom with it the whole afternoon. He also stole my towel so he could make sure he had something soft to lie on. Crazy dog. Can’t say I take good pictures of him since my camera sucks. I’ve tried with and without the flash but I get the same crappy result.

And I should probably mention that I bought Dowan.org from Maja. Woot, another blog to add to the list. And the list is starting to get long.

According to a Swedish doctor (who is referring to American and French research), young girls can get sagging boobs if they use a bra that is too tight.

According to a study where 33 French girls between the age 18-25 were exercising with gymnastics and swimming, only those who didn’t use a bra (88%) would see the effect that the nipple was placed higher than before. On those who exercised with a tight bra, they didn’t see any change.

The doctor says that a constant pressure against the connective tissue that reaches from the breast to the armpit can cause the breast not to develop as normal.

Weird or what? Well, you shouldn’t believe everything you read. Interesting topic though :P
