Problems with inheritance rights

After my grandmother died, my mom and her siblings had problems with the inheritance. One brother didn’t want to sign the paper (I can’t really remember the specific details) and therefore the money couldn’t be cashed out to the others. According to the law here, everyone must sign this special paper to get the inheritance. Even though everyone have their inheritance rights, it doesn’t do a thing if there is one person that just wants to cheat his family, especially his dead mother, on the money.
I can’t stop wondering how you can be so greedy. Thank goodness I haven’t met the man in 15 years!

When my grandmother died everything went smooth. There was no debate or lawyers on the phone trying to screw each other over what was left behind by their dead parents.
I guess it depends on how close you are to your family?
