Space saver!
Whatcha doin?
It’s almost two years since I moved from a small town and a 80 square meters big apartment to a bigger city and a 40 square meters small apartment. Imagine how much stuff I had/have to get rid of when I moved to an apartment half the size!
For example, I had to put one half of my double bed in the basement, which makes me a bit sad since I loved that big bed, even if it was a size for two! I’ve also sold, thrown away and given away a lot of stuff, but I still have one basement storage too much! We are only allowed to have one, but I managed to get two when I moved in ;).
So during the years I have been organizing a lot. Don’t get me wrong, I love organizing! But it really has been a little too much even for me. So a week a go I decided to go over my closets _again_, sorting out clothes that I don’t use or that doesn’t fit me. However, I just didn’t want to throw them all away. I am loosing a liiittle bit weight each month and I just wanted to save some smaller clothes just in case I reach that size again. The rest will be donated to an aid organization.
In the middle of all this I remembered that I several months ago bought 2 compression bags! You know, the big ones that you use a vacuum cleaner to suck out all the air with.

I used one to all the clothes I’m saving. And hell yes, I’m saving a lot of space now! I probably shouldn’t have packed the clothes in such high piles in the bags, but instead used all of the space in it, but it worked out anyway. Just take a look at the picture below! Before I had the clothes in two big boxes. Now, they _all_ will fit in _one_ shelf in the closet. I must say; one of the best inventions ever! ;P

Wow!
Oh oh, I want some of those badly! Nice space savin! They look kinda messy when compressed though, that’s the only thing I don’t like. I suppose I could just shove them under or into something and not look at them.
That’s a great idea! I love organizing too… the thing with the bag is that I’d be too lazy to put my clothes in it all the time.. I usually just throw it in my closet or something and actually clean and organize it properly once a week.
Hey dear!! Thanks so much for dropping by my blog!! :D
Is that your dog? She/he’s a beauty!! Awww! Wow… that is definitely very useful and you have just given me the GREATEST idea!! I need to pack a lot of clothes for my 4 month stay in France and this may just be the thing I need! I’ll have to go look for this though, am not sure where I can get one. I need to sort out my clothes soon too :D
Yup thats my little dog! :)
And yeah, those bags will be perfect for you when you go to France :)
Aww, your dog is really cute:)
Those bags looks really neat. I have a very small apartment as well, and little place for storage, but I’ve thrown a lot of clothes etc actually. Usually I have a hard time doing so, but if I really get myself together there’s nothing that can stop me:p Or something:p
I had a double bed when I lived at university, I miss double bed! I hate sleeping in a single bed.
You rooms looks really neat, your bookshelf is all neat and tidy. I have similar looking bookshelves and it’s really messy. Maybe it’s time I start to tidy up.
My mum loves those compression bags, she loves to put unused bedding in those and store them away somewhere.
