Why not try something new before you go out? :P

I recently bought (I’ve been buying lots of make up lately!) two Max Factor Facefinity Compact Foundation in the lightest shade called Porcelain at a very discounted price at Lyko. I also got a free make up bag with some mini make up (look at the nail polish, amazing brownish-red shade!) products as well! If you hurry and buy 2 Max Factor products from them, you can get a make up bag for free as well!

It’s strange that I’ve never mentioned the Max Factor Facefinity Compact Foundation in the blog before because it is one of my favorite make up products of all time!
I’ve lost track of how many years I have used it!Loose mineral foundation is amazing but I just can’t have a jar of powder in my bag, so a pressed foundation is the thing! The Facefinity is also the only pressed foundation that I have tried (so far) that matches my pale skin! It also does a fairly good job with covering my red areas (not as good as Lucy Minerals though!).
The only downside with it is that if you have dry skin, it tends to crack and make you look even drier. However, if I take care of my skin and moisturize it enough it gives a flawless look!

I decided to give myself an early Christmas present so I ordered a bunch of stuff (mostly nail polish!) from e.l.f! And since they offered a free 32pc eye shadow palette with the order, I couldn’t resist! The total price, with shipping to Sweden was £14.95 (ca 160kr). Not bad!
So be ware of many images below, because you will see:
- Nail Polish – Golden Goddess
- Nail Polish – Twinkle
- Nail Polish – Metal Madness
- Nail Polish – Royal Purple
- Nail Polish – Desert Haze
- 32pc eye shadow collection palette
- Warm Bronzer from the Studio line

And last but not least; I tried to get a good picture of my nails, but failed miserably. You can’t see the awesomeness in the last picture but I thought I could show it anyway. It’s 2 coats of Desert Haze and 1 coat of Golden Goddess, and believe me, it looks amazing! It’s my new favorite combo! It’s perfect for Christmas!
Also, take a look at a similar combo – Golden Goddess and Lilac. And here you can see Golden Goddess for itself.
(I’ve done some bad/fast photo editing in one of the images, I hope you don’t see it! :P)

I just posted a bunch of incredible cute pictures of the Shu Uemura 2010 Christmas Makeup Collection over at my Tumblr-blog (you should add it to your RSS-reader!), it’s a collaboration with the japanese illustrator Aya Takano! So instead of cross posting I’m directing you there.

Along with the nail polishes I also bought three NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils from Cherry Culture. Milk, Yogurt and Cottage Cheese. Milk is plain white, Yogurt looks like frosty copper brown/champagne, and Cottage Cheese is silverish shimmery white. Swatches below!
They are incredibly creamy, well pigmented and easy to blend. But even with a primer they tend to crease a bit (I used UDPP), such a shame! I guess I’ll have to use less or just find another base. But they are really beautiful so it wasn’t a total waste! ;)

I’m bored and I just cleaned out my makeup stash a bit of bad products. I do realize that I could have returned some of these and get a replacement, but I was too lazy at the time. A few of them I couldn’t return since I bought them in a store and they don’t accept refunds or replacements once they have been opened.
- Depend Eyebrow Pen – Not sure if I got a “Friday car” but this was a disaster. It was dry and even though I followed the instructions, I didn’t get it to work.
- E.l.f. Waterproof Eyeliner Pen – Dry as the desert!
- Isadora Flashy Curl Mascara – Took a few uses, then it became like a gum, then it became dry.
- Max Factor Masterpiece Glide and Define – First of all, the product I got was grey, the marking for black was very similar. The consistency was watery. Glide – yes, define – no.
- E.l.f. Blushing Bronzing and Blending Brush – Do not buy this one! A total disappointment! It’s not as nice and smooth as it looks on the product image! The bristles are stiff and scratchy. I have however found another use for it – I clean my keyboard with it! It’s excellent for that purpose!
Some of these probably worked wonders on others, but I would absolutely advise that you don’t buy the E.l.f. Blushing Bronzing and Blending Brush, it totally sucked. Only buy it if you want to clean your keyboard with it! :P
Anyone else that have experienced/discovered bad/disappointing beauty products lately?
