I love Muji

I bought these two acrylic stacking pots from Muji the other week. They are great! I use them for mineral samples, like eyeshadows and foundations. Purrrfect!

And I have to say that I love Muji, tons of brilliant and stylish organizing products and office supplies (they have tons of other stuff too).  Too bad I don’t really have space for much more! ButI regret that I didn’t buy a notebook or two while I was there!

e.l.f. Beauty Encyclopedia – New Design

Fick ett pressmeddelande häromdagen från e.l.f. om deras nya design av Beauty Encyclopedia. Bibeln består av 3 delar; Everyday Eyes, Sparkle Eyes och Lip Edition. En nyhet är att det går att köpa de olika delarna separat så man slipper köpa hela en gång till! Superb!
Varje encyclopedia kostar ca 73kr!

English: Got a pressrelease the other day from e.l.f. about their new design for the Beauty Encyclopedia. The bible consists of 3 parts; Everyday Eyes, Sparkle Eyes and Lip Edition. A new thing is that you can by the different parts separate so you don’t have to buy the whole thing one more time.
Each encyclopedia is £6!

Tips for makeup brushes!

A while ago I saw that MichellePhan recommended The Brush Guard for keeping your makeup brushes like new, especially for keeping them in shape after you’ve washed them. They seemed really great since you can turn the brushes upside down while they are getting dry so you don’t damage the glue keeping it together.
So I created something on my own instead. I love my makeup brushes from e.l.f.’s studio line, so every time I’ve ordered new ones I kept the plastic covers!

I used a hole puncher to create many tiny holes in the plastic.

So after I’ve washed the brushes, I put on the cover and put them in a vase or a glass and let them dry! Even though I made many holes (I think I’m going to make more holes though), the air can’t circulate enough, so I only use these to get the excess water off and then let them dry without the plastic.

I realize that they are not as good as the Brush Guards, but I thought I could save the world from a little plastic and reuse them instead of throwing them away!

Recension: Neutrogena Visibly Clear

För ett tag sedan fick jag hem ett gratis paket från Buzzador innehållandes en stor flaska av Neutrogena Visibly Clear Oil-free Facial Wash och en stor flaska av Oil-free Make-up Remover samt en massa prover på båda som jag gett till vänner och bekanta.  Hos Buzzador får man testa nya produkter och tjänster helt gratis! Ett par av kommentarerna jag fått från vänner och bekanta:

“Make up-removern var jättefräsch och luktade megagott, kändes kanon i hyn efteråt, ren och inte fettig. Inte torr heller, perfekt! Rengöringen var lite konstig i konsistensen och så men helt ok, ingen större åsikt om den.”

“Produkterna kändes naturliga (luktade gott, inte alls kemiskt). Jag märkte ingen skillnad på min hud efter att jag använt grejerna. Det gick åt lite väl mycket för varje användning, men det var lätt att skölja av. Make-up removern var medelmåttig, den dög. Förpackningarna på bilderna såg tråkiga ut.”

Neutrogena Visibly Clear Oil-free Facial Wash: Konstig konsistens och färg, påminner lite om sweet thai chili-såsen från Ica haha! Känner mig ren och fräsch efteråt, dock torkar den ut min hy lite för mycket. Doften är helt klart godkänd. Jag älskar pumpflaskan! Superbra!

Neutrogena Visibly Clear Oil-free Make-up Remover: Den här var inte alls effektiv. Tar oerhört lång tid att få bort allt smink med den, dessutom känns det som att man måste använda mycket. Den sägs ta bort vattenfast mascara men det gör den absolut inte. Den ska dessutom inte tvättas bort vilket inte fungerar för mig, den doftar alldeles för även om jag sköljer med vatten efteråt. Det enda positiva var att min hy inte blev torr efteråt (om jag låter bli att skölja med vatten dvs.). Den kanske skulle kunna fungera bra på de som inte använder så mycket smink.

The facial wash was okay, I loved the pump-bottle! 3.5 out of 5. The make-up remover was really bad, didn’t work for me at all, 1 out of 5.

English: A while a go I bought a couple of two tier jars on a sale at H&M, perfect for keeping mineral samples in. I find it hard to use foundation samples that are in a bag so why not get them their own jar?  They are a bit big for the purpose but it was the only size they had on sale. On the last picture I took the smashed blush from E.L.F and put it in the jar instead of throwing it away. ^^

Swedish: För ett tag sen fyndade jag små burkar på H&M för halva priset. Perfekta för att förvara mineral prover i. Tycker det är jobbigt med foundation prover i påsar eftersom det hamnar precis överallt då. Burkarna är visserligen en aning för stora för prover men det var ju rea! På sista bilden har jag hällt över den krossade blushen från E.L.F i en av burkarna istället för att slänga allt.  ^^

Organizing mineral samples

Got really sick of all the mineral sample baggies laying around everywhere, even in a drawer, so I took a couple of round-head fasteners and organized them by brand. The organizing-me is so much happier now!
