I didn’t quite get what the movie, Happy-Go-Lucky, was about, it’s lacking a real plot, but it made me smile. You should see it! I think we all have something to learn from Poppy!
Poppy (Sally Hawkins) is an irrepressibly cheerful primary school teacher who won’t let anyone or anything get her down. Even when her bicycle, which she so happily rides through the busy streets of London is stolen, her first thought is only: “I didn’t even get a chance to say goodbye.”
Living with her flatmate Zoe (Alexis Zegerman), Poppy has a gift for making the most of life. Determined to learn to drive, she finds herself matched with Scott (Eddie Marsan), an uptight driving instructor who is everything she is not.
From Director Mike Leigh (Vera Drake) HAPPY-GO-LUCKY is a laugh-out-loud comedy about having fun, looking for love and getting on with life.
Smashing Magazine posted 30 Unforgettable Movie Opening Sequences yesterday and I really enjoyed seeing some good sequenses. Take a look!

Någon som har lust att gå på bio med mig nästa vecka för att se Låt den rätte komma in?
Okay, NANA 2 was – AWESOME! I have no words. See it damnit! The music, the friendship, everything *love* <3
If I have to say something negative, it would be that Aoi Miyazaki played Hachi much better in the first movie! And that they replaced some of the actors from the first movie.
Now I have to watch the anime, I should have done that before I saw the LA, too late now! :P
You can also see the whole NANA 2 move with english subtitles on YouTube! And don’t forget to visit nana-nana.net.
So I finally took the time to watch some movies from my harddrive, and tonight I saw NANA. Read what it is about below!
Based on the popular manga by Ai Yazawa, NANA follows the adventures of two girls both named Nana. While they share the same name, they couldn’t be more different. Nana “Hachi” Komatsu follows her boyfriend to Tokyo in hopes to make a new start, while Nana Osaki, who arrives in the city at the same time, is a punk rock beauty who has an ambition to make it big in the world of rock and roll. Although these two young women come from different backgrounds, they quickly become best friends to seek their happiness and dreams.
The J-pop Icon MIKA NAKASHIMA and the most desired actress AOI MIYAZAKI breath the bestselling manga into life with their fresh and expressive presence. Directed by KENTARO OTANI with the original theme song written by J-Rock charisma HYDE (L’Arc-en-Ciel).
I have to say that I really really liked this one! It’s hard to describe the feeling I got from it, but this is a movie you should see! If you’re a fan of j-rock/pop or a fan of the manga with the same name, this is definetly a movie for you! I think I will watch NANA 2 tomorrow. I hope that one is as good as the first one!
Have you seen it?
I watched the movie Boy A yesterday. I should have seen it ages ago since I’ve had it on my computer for a year or so! Anyway, the movie was really darn good. You should see it!
Ni borde kolla in den!
