Teen beating caught on tape

I have been watching this video where 6 girls (all around 16 years old) beats up another girl, a classmate, just because they claim she was posting nasty messages about them on MySpace. She was beaten up under 30 minutes and got her head slammed into a wall several times.
They videotaped the assault and added the video on YouTube. There were also two boys acting as lookouts outside the house while the action happened inside.

From what I’ve seen on the video I don’t understand why she doesn’t try to defend herself with the same way she was being attacked. If I were in her situation I would have done that. But then again I don’t know what happened before the 3 minute clip from the original 30 minutes video. It says that she was knocked unconscious so perhaps that’s why she doesn’t even try in those minutes we are able to watch it.

But come on. You don’t beat up someone for something that has been done over the internet. Err well, especially not a classmate (:P). The girls and the boys names are all over the internet, wouldn’t be nice in the future for them…

I saw that video too and you know what, the same thing was on my mind too. I saw the part, then the girl could easily kick off the girl which beat her. And the sickest on it was, that they took it on a tape…. Why?

I think those girls need to be punished severely, since it’s just wrong to inflict damage on others D:

“You don’t beat up someone for something that has been done over the internet.”

Oh, really? What if someone stole a picture of you on the toilet, uploaded it on the Internet and invited your whole school to see it? And you found it who it was? Are you telling me that you wouldn’t think about getting revenge?

I am tired of people acting like jerks on the Internet and getting away with it. If you’re a jerk on the Internet, and you get caught and beat up, it’s your own fault. Why? Because this wouldn’t have happened if the victim wasn’t a jerk on MySpace.

HELLO PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY?? ARE YOU HOME??

People like this make me sick! I had to deal with brats like that in school who would run their mouth like that at me. Fortunately, I never got jumped by a big group like this, or got knocked unconscious. I feel bad for that poor girl.

This is an extremely sad situation. Regardless if someone has slandered you on the internet, or anywhere else for that matter, it doesn’t give you and a big group of people the right to retaliate in such a harsh way! Okay put up some mean stuff about that person on the internet, or confront them verbally. But just to be honest, two wrongs do not make a right. And personal responsibility has nothing to do with it. What if you had a child and this happened to them, would it be alright for your child to get beaten and knocked unconscious? Would you tell your child, “that’s what you get, you shouldn’t have been talking about them?” Yeah right. I thought as “good” citizens, and “good” parents, family, and friends we are suppose to teach children good moral character? I thought we were to teach them to do unto others as you would have them do unto you? The acts that this group of children conducted on this child were completely wrong and immoral. Jail time is what the judge saw fit for them and maybe that’s what they needed to recollect their thoughts, because if it was one of their family members that this happened to I am sure they would have been outraged! I am from Nashville and that just isn’t how I was raised, and to condone such violence is malevolent, barbaric, ungodly, unholy, and most of all uncivilized!!!! I sure hope these are not adults posting these comments saying how that child got what she deserved. Pick up a bible, any Bible not just the Christian Bible, and read it for a change. In no religion, that I know of, does it suggest or even condone such behavior! You people need to get your minds right!!!!! I do not hate either one of you for expressing your thoughts because to each its own and we do have freedom of speech and thought (to an extent) but come on, get real, FIGHTING IS NOT THE KEY NOR IS IT THE ANSWER.

I heard about this the other day on tv. I can’t believe its happening. Someone told me that it’s the new “thing!” and I went WHAT!?!

It’s sick the things they find to do when they’re bored sometimes.

how the hell could she have defended herself when its 8 against one? are you serious? it would be hard to defend yourself against two people, even against one of those fat ass girls. she also tried to leave after they beat the shit out of her the first few times and they wouldnt let her. those teenagers are monsters from hell and i think they should get the electric chair, along with their disgusting pig mother

    - really, Jake? as if thats what this fight was even about. thats the dumbest reasoning ive ever heard. sounds to me like you would have loved to be one of those teenagers beating the crap out of that poor girl. these are girls in a fight guy problems and ‘trash talking,’ not putting up a picture of you taking a crap. seems like you’re just a big bully that likes to hurt defenseless people. and if you look as ugly on the outside as you do on the inside (im assuming you do) no wonder you would want to beat someone up for putting a picture of you sitting on a toilet!
