The 4 books battle - Battle 1

I have decided that after I have read four books, I will post them and give them scores. It’s not a real battle, since I won’t go in deep on each book. I just thought it would be fun, it’s mostly for myself (yes, I’m egoistic). So here are the first four books.
The Little Prisoner by Jane ElliottSimilar to David Pelzer’s ‘A Boy Called It‘, however even if this was an awful book to read (I get pissed that this is actually happening more than we think) Dave Pelzer’s book somehow touched me more. But it’s still very awful!
[rating:2]
Olivia Joules and the Overactive Imagination by Helen Fielding Quite different from her other books. I actually thought it was silly in the beginning but it got better. It’s fun and filled with Olivia’s imagination. Olivia is a journalist/secret agent. Very Modesty Blaise-ish!
[rating:3]
Den inre kretsen (The inner circle) by Mari JungstedtA pretty boring book that takes place in Gotland here in Sweden. Not very exciting and it felt like it took forever to finish. The story kind of fades away. And the description of the aeisir-cult felt pretty lame…
[rating:0.5]
Blue Smoke by Nora Roberts Yet another female hero. Reena, firefighter and police woman. This one is really exciting! I couldn’t even put the book away! Italian family, romance, pizzas, mystery and a pyromaniac stalker. Can’t get better!
[rating:4]
Winner: Blue Smoke by Nora Roberts wins battle one!

Oh, I really liked Olivia Joules and the Overactive Imagination. Then again, I’m just a fan of everything that Helen Fielding does…(though Cause Celeb…hmmm….)

Can you suggest some good Swedish books (preferably youth books, as the language level is good for me to understand)? I’ve read Förföljaren by Magnus Nordin and I liked it very much, it was easy to read and very thrilling. I also tried to read a book by Björn Ranelind, but that one totally sucked - it was total chaos and I found the lack of direct speech totally disturbing.
So far on my wishlist is only “Den Osynlige” by Mats Wahl, since I absolutely love the movie with Gustaf Skarsgård.

The fact that you referred to it as a “battle” reminds me of AIMFight.com. Ha.

Hey there. This is just a response to your comment on my blog. I have made $29.00 so far. That’s because I just reached the 30 days mark the other day. I should be expected 4 more payments sometime today too. So that’ll boost it up. PayPerPost is legitimate because they do pay! LOL!

Hey there!
About the book recommendations; I’m not sure if they might be too hard for you but they are really worth reading! It’s from the author Stieg Larsson, the first books is called Män som hatar kvinnor and the second one is called Flickan som lekte med elden. The third one is coming in June I think, and I just can’t wait. Those books are really friggin awesome!
