The day I almost bought my own apartment
Yesterday me and my mom went to look at an apartment in the middle of the city where I work (I commute almost 2,5 hours a day, not including waiting time!) since I thought it would be better for me to move and be able to skip the bus, god I hate the bus, I have been commuting to school and work a long way my whole life and I’m sick of it. The apartment looked pretty great, but the bedroom could use some new wallpapers, it also had a newly renovated kitchen.
Today the estate agent called and said that it was me and that old lady (that also where there yesterday, when she was finished looking at it she tried to take the elevator down to the entrance, the problem was that the apartment was on the first floor!) that were interested and that the old lady already bid the starting price yesterday. I raised the bid, but then the lady raised it even more and then I raised to my own financial limit, and I told the agent that if the lady gave a higher price than that, she could have it. The agent hasn’t called me yet so I suppose the old hag outbid me.
I am a little annoyed, why the hell does all those old hags (I bet she was around 80 years old) have to move in to the city and bid out all those youngsters that doesn’t have that much money. She could just moved in to a home for the elderly right away!
Well if she wanted to pay that much for an apartment that needed a renovation, she can have it. Old hag!
Oh well, off to find some other apartments I can take a look at instead.
LOL Well I don’t think the old lady liked taking the bus anymore than you did ;) Good luck finding another apartment, this time hopefully without any renovations!

well at least you arent in an apt. complex that puts young people and young parents in roach infested apts. while the old people get the clean buildings.

That sucks, but who knows - maybe it was a gift in disguise. Best of luck on finding an even better place with no old hags in the running!

Ja, det suger big time. Synd det skjedde, men jeg ser ikke noen grunn for at hun ikke skal få kjøpe leiligheten. Hun har ikke så mye tid igjen, så hvorfor ikke leve de siste åra med litt verdighet?

well think of it this way; with you there bidding she ended up paying more than she probably expected to
AND she may have bought the aprt next door and you’d have had her as your neighbour…!
