The day I stole from work

I’m not sure if you can call it stealing, I think it’s leaning more to that I was greedy. Sometimes there is a fine line between them depending on the situation…

Today at work, there was this beautiful red little box on the table in the coffee-room. Inside the box there were some beautiful brown chocolate hearts. They smelled wonderfully. I could already sense them when I walked the stairs up to the room. As a chocolate-lover, I have that supernatural power.

I took one. “Mhmm, I’m in heaven!” I say to my partner in crime. Yes, there is another one running around guilty.
I took two. “Geez, I’m in heaven’s heaven!” I sighed. My partner in crime just nodded with closed eyes.

Then we had to leave because our shift started, at the next break, we walked up to the coffee-room and opened the box. My partner in crime whispered: “There is more!“.
Then we took one. And two. And three - each!

Then the real guilt came. I said that we really should leave some for the others since this was a really tiny little box. My partner in crime thought that since we were ‘almost’ the only ones left this evening, we could take as many as we wanted. The could get old by tomorrow.

We left with a few chocolate hearts left in that cute little red box. But I couldn’t help feeling guilty, greedy and as a big thief for taking all those chocolate hearts.

But damn, I flew to heaven and back when I ate every one of them!

I feel bit guilty too when I’m eating (at my practicing place) the food that medicine presenters have brought for our poor doctors (I think some of them are eating at work only the food that presenter brings). On the other hand I think “so what!”, they’re all boring people, all they speak is downhill skiing. And medice presenters have also nice pens with them… Don’t feel guilty it’s chocolate (yami).
