The Golden Age

I spent the evening at my parents (they offered dinner and I can’t say not to that!) and watched Elisabeth – The Golden Age on TV. I haven’t seen it before and I was amazed by the costumes from the start, I actually didn’t notice much else except the handsome Clive Owen (and how young and undamaged Rhys Ifans looked)!
I was literally drooling over Elizabeth’s dresses! One of my favorites is the purple one:

I have never seen that movie, but I have also wanted to! I’m really interested in history, and I think queen Elizabeth seemed like a very fascinating lady! :) And you’re right, the costumes are DIVINE.

I’ve seen the movie twice now. I love the dresses as well. I would be fun to wear something like that to a costume party. It seems a lot of work having to dress and undress though.

I loved this movie too for the costumes and sets! I also loved Marie Antoinette and The Duchess for the same reasons. =P
