The Toilet Award - PayU2Blog
A couple of months ago I decided to join PayU2Blog, everything went fine, I got an email saying that my blog was accepted and if I accept the requirements I should reply to it with name, blog url and etc. So I did. No reply. After a couple of weeks I sent an email again asking why I didn’t get my login information or an answer. No reply.
A couple of weeks ago I decided to try it again. The same procedure, I accepted the terms by replying to the email with my information. No reply. I even commented on their blog asking a few days ago asking why I wasn’t accepted or even contacted. I went by the same post today and I saw that it has been deleted. Lousy service and lack of respect as far as I see it. I suggest that you don’t join this paid to post program.
That’s the reason why they get my toilet award. Can you hear me flush twice? Good!

I got the same thing. So I just ignored them. Plus they wanted me to email my SS# so I was like…uuuuh no!

Good to know! Thanks for the info, Malin!
Posted on October 4th, 2007 at 8:14 pm
Well, that sounds familiar! I got the same email, replied with the details and haven’t heard from them since. It’s a shame, cause I heard good things about them before.
Posted on October 5th, 2007 at 3:07 am
Great choice. I am with you all the way. They deserve worse. This is the most horrible service story that I have come across recently.
Posted on October 5th, 2007 at 9:25 am
I have written a lot of posts with them and never experienced any problems :( I am sorry you have though. I can’t believe that they would do this unless there’s a good reason but it seem that they need a flush this time!
Posted on October 5th, 2007 at 1:03 pm
@Nan: Well it seems that many people have experienced the same problem so they really have an issue there!

Any service that wanted my SS# automatically sends up a red flag for me. This is too bad because the way I’ve seen this used on others blogs looks like an attractive method.

Yup! They suck big time!
I got accepted few months back but when i login i am not able to. I even used the lost password and got a new one. Still it doesn’t accept the new password.
No response for mails also.

I actually applied to test it out I haven’t filled out the stuff since I haven’t had the time but i think it was the owner of the company.. i’m pretty sure called me up personally. He was nice. I dunno he sounded nice?
Posted on October 13th, 2007 at 7:03 pm
I have been working with PayU2blog for awhile now and I just wanted to point out that they have been great.
I think the problem you are encountering is explained on the page where you sign up. It says you will receive a reply if your blog is chosen. If it is not they will not send you any kind of reply. They are not like PPP with many many people working there. I don’t think they have the time or man/woman power to answer each email.
Posted on October 14th, 2007 at 8:51 pm
@Jodi: I know that they aren’t a big business, but it’s rude to delete comments and not letting people know that, if it is the case, they don’t have the time to go through new applications.
Posted on October 15th, 2007 at 1:17 pm
hi
thanks for this post
I am planning to register
but after reading your post?!
well, flushing it down
sounds good!
Posted on November 1st, 2007 at 7:43 am
They did the same to me! It’s okay if they don’t accept my blog for some reason, but I want to know why?! Being all quiet and deleting posts is very rude!
Posted on November 15th, 2007 at 3:31 pm
PayU2Blog is downright RUDE! Exactly what I posted today in my blog:) But yours take the cake for giving them the ‘Toilet Award’… perfect man! Thanks for making my day:D
Posted on November 24th, 2007 at 10:08 am
I had been signed up for months and even did posts for them, went to log in one day and couldn’t. Retrieved a new password still no log-in ability. Emailed, they responded back with a form to fill out to be accepted again. Still no word and I’m glad. To be honest, most of their advertisers are spammy in nature anyway. Not to mention you HAVE to do the posts. I’m not participating in a services which forces you to write spammy content.
Posted on December 4th, 2007 at 10:01 pm
Not sure why you think they are rude, I have been with Payu2blog for a while now, and think they are a great company! Can’t say enough about them!!!
Posted on December 11th, 2007 at 11:27 am
Even though I started with PPP and still love working there, I also belong to PU2B and have never had a problem with them. I’ve dealt with Tony, Heath and Keith and each one of them has been professional and helpful.
As for the SS#, any company that contracts you for work and is going to pay you money, must have your SS# before they can issue any pay. PPP/Izea needs it, Google Adsense needs it. Sponsored Review, ReviewMe, etc. all have to have your SS# in order to pay you. That’s the law.
That said, if you’re looking into a new pay-to-blog company, the best thing to do is ask around first. http://www.geekyspeaky.com/boards/ is a good place to ask questions regarding reputable companies. I assure you, payu2blog is reputable. Sorry your blog didn’t qualify.
Oh, and if you don’t complete your assignments, you will be terminated. Each company has its own rules and that’s how payu2blog works. If those rules don’t suit you, there are surely other companies that would be more to your liking. That doesn’t make payu2blog a bad company, just different than some of the others.
Posted on December 11th, 2007 at 12:00 pm
Have to echo Jodi and Marisa’s comments regarding PU2B. For me they have been up-front, open and responsive. Perhaps there are other reasons your post on their blog was deleted — if it was inflammatory as your post here is, that might be a reason why. I’ve pretty much found that you get more results with polite requests rather than ugly comments. You for sure don’t get hired!
I’m pretty protective of my SS#, too and don’t hand it out for the asking, but if you’ve EVER held a job in the US before, then you should know that’s something your employer is required to have in order to comply with the laws of the state and of the Federal Government. Those of us who work for PU2B (and PPP and whatever other paid blogging compay there is out there) has provided this information along with our home address and phone number. To refuse to provide this basic information is to deny yourself the opportunity to work.
You are certainly entitled to your opinions and I respect that you had an issue you feel is unresolved, but the down-and-dirty of it is, if you don’t qualify, you don’t get the job. That doesn’t make PU2B a bad company, just makes you look like you have a big mouthful of sour grapes.

I agree with Maggie, Marisa and Jodie, I have been doing post for them for a couple of months and I really like them. You can always count of a steady stream of work and you don’t have to fight over opps like you do at some other places. They have always responded quickly to any email I have sent. I am really sorry you had such a bad experience with them but I can assure you this is not the norm.
Posted on December 11th, 2007 at 2:03 pm
Well - Maggie, Marisa and Jodie clearly didn’t read the whole post since they are explaining things that I already know of. I’m not sure if they are talking to me or not really.
If I just got a reply saying that my blog didn’t get accepted, everything would be fine.
Posted on December 11th, 2007 at 2:20 pm
You say you accepted their terms, which included not being notified if your blog didn’t qualify. Did you read all of their terms? If you expected to be notified whether your blog was accepted or not, then you should not have signed up at all.
I agree with all those who have had good things to say about Payu2blog. They have rules, like every business should. They have always answered my emails.
It’s too bad you feel like your experience is so negative. They really are nice people. If you were rude with your comments, then maybe that’s why they deleted them. Being rude could be considered a lack of respect.
Posted on December 11th, 2007 at 2:45 pm
Yes, read the whole thing and all the comments too, so was actually replying to all — perhaps I shouldn’t have done that.
You got no response because your blog didn’t qualify. They tell you that when you apply - that you are notified if you’re accepted and not if you’re not.
Maybe that’s not the best way to handle it, but it’s their way and they’re up front about it.
I can understand their mindset in a way. Those blogs that don’t qualify would be innundating them with “why doesn’t it qualify?” and “but I do posts for XYZ company! So why not you?” — and they just don’t have the staff to handle the volume.
If I were you and I did want to eventually work for them, I would keep on blogging and working on having good content on it, etc. and keep reapplying. Always keeping in the forefront of my mind that persistence pays.
Save your toilet awards for the likes of Michael Vick and PETA.

I actually checked out the email records. This was the last email I got was that my blog actually got accepted (!) and I answered it with the requested information. After that I never received login information or anything…
Does anyone have a good explanation for that?!
Posted on December 11th, 2007 at 2:56 pm
Lol, did you get so offended by my toilet award that you have to stand up for them, Maggie?
Posted on December 11th, 2007 at 3:03 pm
Please remove Derek’s contact information from these comments. I am sure you would not want your information published like this either. Thank you.
As to why you were not accepted after receiving that email..
I can answer that:
A mistake was made. Your blog was mistakenly accepted. Someone else who was reviewing them caught the mistake and you were not approved.
I apologize for the false hope, but we are pretty careful and your blog just didn’t pass… maybe in the future it could pass but definitely not for now. Hope that helps clear up your confusion.
As to Payu2blog. We are real. We send out allot of money to some of the hardest working bloggers in the industry I think, and most of them are very happy.
Good luck with all your efforts. I am sure you can find a company that that is willing pay you to blog for them if you keep at it.
Posted on December 11th, 2007 at 3:08 pm
Wow, and that took you 6 months and an angry blog post to let me know? Great work guys!
And as for “definetly not now” is because I flushed you guys? :P
Posted on December 11th, 2007 at 3:10 pm
I’d leave the email up. People need to know what they aren’t doing!
Posted on December 11th, 2007 at 4:45 pm
What exactly aren’t they doing Jenny? The terms that were agreed to state that you will NOT receive a reply if your blog isn’t accepted by them. No, they don’t accept every blog out there, and they don’t have time to write an email to every one that gets rejected.
Sorry. That’s life. Deal with it & go work for the companies that do accept any blog that’s 90 days old or older. I’m sorry that Malin’s blog was mistakenly accepted and then later rejected upon a closer inspection. It happens. PayU2Blog is run by people, they make mistakes. It’s the mistakes they don’t make that make them a great company to work for.
Posted on December 11th, 2007 at 9:02 pm
I agree that the post with the email should be deleted. I see that it isn’t. Nice guy.
I do have a question for you though. If you were to apply for a job anywhere in the U.S. where you had to put in an application and then wait to see IF they called you, how is that different from what PU2B did to you..as in did not reply as stated in their sign up? You did agree to those terms when you signed up. And most companies that you put in applications for..do not notify you unless they want you to come in for an interview, do they.
Having said that, I think you simply have sour grapes because you didn’t get your blog approved. Funny, I have seen others not get approved but they worked on it and got in later.
I work for PU2B, among others, and I happen to think they are pretty great. The assignments are good and it is worth it to work for them. One of the things I do not have with my blog is a lot of nasty language or spiteful comments. I do not flame. I do tell it like I see it but that’s the way my blog is. However, I do not just put up sour grapes. That might be the reason it was not picked. Who knows.
To PU2B guys, I suggest strongly that you change the email you send out since it’s here in all it’s glory and this person is likely not going to be the nice person they should be and remove it. Instead, they will probably stay the jerk that they are showing right now. Regardless, they have broadcast your email address and information. It should be changed since not much really leaves the internet.

Email and other contact information has been deleted from the comment, but the rest stays.

Malin — no, sweetie, not offended. Just trying to set the record straight with you regarding a company that I personally enjoy working for and feel does a great job at what they do.
It’s apparent, though, that I’m wasting words on you. You are too wound up in your own ego to accept any form of rebuttal to your “award”. As stated before, it’s sounding more and more like sour grapes on your part. I’m so sorry for you that you go through life with this attitude. It makes life so not fun.
Good luck to you.

Dear Maggie, it’s great that the company has been good to you. But there will always be people that doesn’t like them. It doesn’t matter what company. Like there are many that hates PayPerPost, but I like them, but I don’t run around to those trying to convince them to like PPP. A “too bad, they have been great to me” comment from you would be enough. Since you weren’t involved in the situation or the company I’m not sure why you trying to make me feel bad just because I had a not so good experience. It’s not like I’m trying to sue them or something or that the toilet award means anything at all, I just express my opinion.
Posted on December 12th, 2007 at 7:26 am
I really am sorry you feel that way about a company I think is great. I really am sorry that you feel the way you do about a company I am having serious problems with. You are so right. We might never like the same companies.
I work for both. One shows me respect, interest and caring. The other shows me indifference, a lack of caring about the individual blogger and a power complex. Which one will I work for? Both. One while it continues to give me any paid to blog material and the other because they actually respect me. Shrug.

I received this email from them:
*As a PayU2Blog Blogger you agree to the following!
1) To be a RELIABLE and DEPENDABLE blogger that will COMPLETE assignments on time!
2) You agree to complete ALL assignments (There is NO picking and choosing Assignments)….What you are Assigned….you COMPLETE!!
3) Each Assignment number that you receive in your profile means that you create a brand new minimum 60 word post in your Blog!
4) You CANNOT post multiple assignments together in a single post. Each Assignment will have its own Unique URL that you will submit for Approval!
5) Failing to abide by the 4 Most Important Rules above will result in removal from the PayU2Blog network!
My trouble is #2 “You agree to complete ALL assignments (There is NO picking and choosing Assignments)….What you are Assigned….you COMPLETE!” They sent me assignments they have no bearing on my blog!
Posted on December 15th, 2007 at 1:30 pm
To Mike,
I realize that you do not see a relevance to your blog but the way PU2B works is that the link text is just that, text. You can fit it in any way you like since the post itself does not need to be about the text they give you. For instance, I had one about toys. I was already writing about Christmas shopping so I put that in it as a link.
No, you cannot pick and choose what you want to do but so what. I have had many that would not fit my blog had I had to do a review instead but it is so easy to work a phrase or word into a post without messing up the theme. Easy.
I guess the real problem is that people want to gripe. I have found PU2B to be honest, easy to work for, happy work setting, not a lot of ridiculous rules and, frankly, they pay in two weeks instead of the usual month.
Posted on December 17th, 2007 at 2:04 am
Jaz, it’s people like you that are the reason why Google is penalizing so many people for selling text links. Why the HELL are you going to blog about something that isn’t relevant? What, you want to make a lousy $6?
No one wants to read the garbage you spew out about a product, service, etc that you have never and will never use.
If a user can’t pick and chose the topics they’re interested in, the only thing that PU2B is doing is creating more spam on the internet. With that being said, it’s nice to see all these PU2B users.. I’m sure google will love you guys. :*
Posted on December 17th, 2007 at 4:36 pm
Jordan, I did not get penalized for PU2B. I got penalized for PPP. Google is after them and gets them through the bloggers. If you don’t believe that, check how many of the PPP bloggers got hit.
Obviously, you have no concept of how PU2B works. I have a couple of words or one word. I have to put it into a post. I can still write about what I want to write about. I do not mess up my blog that way. The text is simply linked.
However, PPP is another animal. You have to write reviews. I don’t have to write reviews unless I sign up for a product review on PU2B. On PPP, if I don’t write reviews, I get no money since that’s all they do. And on PU2B, the product company gives us the product to try out when we need to write a review. And we do not have to necessarily be positive. They want honest reviews.
Therefore, the review is about something I am familiar with. You write the product review on what you know about, not some lame thing you have no idea about. You keep the product and get paid too. Yes, PPP does that too but it’s rather limited. These are assigned to the blog it fits best.
And by the way, maybe I am not an elitist when it comes to blogging but that’s because my blog is MINE. If I want to write things for money, I will. I don’t need some tiny brained person telling me that I am the cause of all YOUR ills. I do not NEED a “pure” blog. IT’S MINE, for crying out loud. What’s your problem, pal? My blog is mine to do with as I please not yours to tell me what to do, got it?
And also by the way, Google is a company that has found out how powerful they are…and is a greedy, monopolistic operation that will fall some day. I can’t wait for that to happen.
GOOGLE is your problem, pal, not me. Tell me, what right does Googoo have of telling me what to write??? Hmmm? They have NO RIGHT to tell me anything. I did not ask them to come into my life and I am disgusted with anything that has to do with them, the greedy sobs.
Posted on December 17th, 2007 at 10:21 pm
LOL you’re calling Google a bunch of greedy sobs but yet you’re a greedy son of a bitch that’s adding blog spam to the internet.
Please get off your piece of shit soapbox. So you’re telling me when you link a random keyword in your entry, that you’ve LITERALLY received the product. But wait, you said you’re not reviewing it. So then what’s the purpose? If you receive an item but then you don’t review it, then really, what the FUCK is the point?
My problem “pal” is that trash like your site. You’re whoring yourself out for a few bucks. Get a job that pays better if you’re that strapped for cash and desperate enough to link a measly keyword on your post to earn you $6.
It’s nice you want to earn money, but with such crap quality posts as yours, you’re just adding more trash to the internet. KTNXBAI

Jordan,
You are a jerk with a tiny brain who cannot envision a day when you might need to do this yourself. It is not greed that motivates me. It’s self preservation. I am not a multi-billion dollar company, just one person trying to make a living. Too bad you don’t understand the difference. Maybe some day you will. I hope it doesn’t hit you in the face in the process but I am betting it will.
It’s “wonderful” (*SHE* says with sarcasm who is NOT an *S*ob) people like yourself who make problems for those of us who have reasons for blogging for money. I really do not get why it is “whoring” to be paid to blog. I really do not. I pay for registering the url every year. I pay for the webhosting. I should be able to do with my blog as I see fit without some doofus, like you who has too much time on his hands, calling my blog “whoring” for money.
You guys make me laugh. You sit on your righteous butts telling the world how you want them to get a job instead of working from home. DUH!!! What do you think that is???? It’s a J*O*B for those who cannot spell, like yourself.
Oh yes, I really love that you tell us to “get a job”. Now, for me, that’s not possible. I am disabled, at home, trying to scrape by on the pittance that I receive from WORKING MY BUTT OFF for YEARS…I said *YEARS*..(and I am guessing more years than you are old based on the way you talk), out there in the real world. You self righteous people need to have the same problems and then see what you have to say. I am betting you would find a way to “whore” yourself to earn for your family. “Whoring”. What a word. DUH!!!

PayU2Blog paid me several times. There’s nothing wrong with me. That’s why I keep posting short reviews for their advertisers. FYI, I have joined PayU2Blog several months ago.

I registered month ago and got approved just last night. I send them my info and they reply the same day…

Hi guys,
I read mostly negative comments about Payu2blog but to add to the positive side… I’d been with payu2blog since 2006, during their early launch and my experience is great.
Eversince I started, I never ran out of assignments weekly and I consider this as my regular “bread and butter”. I live in Canada and Heath even called me at home and interviewed me over the phone about this blogging gig. I have nothing negative to say against them.
Just follow instructions when applying and they may have some openings every now and then as other bloggers who don’t follow rules got terminated, who knows you could be hired.
Posted on May 8th, 2008 at 10:18 pm
I agree with everyone here who commented saying that PU2B is a good company. They are legit. I was one of the winners of their bed in a box contest, and I can thank them for not having to sleep on a worn-out, squeaky old bed anymore.
Too bad you weren’t able to join all the fun and had to resort to giving out an award from make-believe.
